Privacy Policy
Version 2026-09-13. Last updated 2026-09-13.
This page says what MowMatch collects about you, why, who sees it, and how to ask for a copy or ask for it to be deleted. It is written for people, not lawyers.
1. Who is responsible for your data
MowMatch is operated by MemoryForge, LLC, a Maryland limited liability company. Questions go to the help page linked at the end.
2. What we collect
From everyone with an account:
- Your name and phone number. Email is optional.
- Your sign-in details. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text.
- Messages you send through MowMatch.
- A push notification subscription for your device, if you turn notifications on.
From requesters:
- The address where the work is, and a description and photos of the work.
- Your card, saved with Stripe. MowMatch receives a token that lets it charge the card. It never sees or stores the full card number.
From workers:
- Your home base location and how far you will travel.
- The kinds of work you do and the tools you have.
- Photos you take of completed work.
- Identity and tax details collected by Stripe during payout setup: legal name, date of birth, the last four digits of your Social Security number, and your bank account. These go to Stripe. MowMatch stores only whether setup is complete.
- A copy of a trade license, if the kind of work you offer requires one.
3. Why we collect it
- To match a request with workers who cover that area and do that kind of work.
- To let a requester and a worker message each other about a job.
- To charge for a job, pay the worker, and keep the records the tax rules require.
- To decide disputes, using the job photos and messages.
- To send notifications about a job you are part of.
- To keep MowMatch safe: spot abuse, fraud, and accounts that break the terms.
MowMatch does not sell your data and does not show you ads based on it.
4. Who sees what
- A worker sees the town and ZIP code of a request before offering on it. They see the full address and your name only after you accept their offer.
- A requester sees a worker's first name, photo, reviews, and verification status. A requester never sees a worker's home address.
- Reviews show your first name and last initial.
- Stripe handles payments and worker payouts and sees the details listed above. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to that data.
- Your address is sent to the United States Census Bureau geocoding service to find its map coordinates. Only the address is sent, not your name.
- MowMatch runs on hosting and database providers in the United States. They store data on MowMatch's behalf and do not use it for their own purposes.
- Page analytics are collected without cookies and without identifying you.
- MowMatch shares data with law enforcement or a court only when the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
Your account details are kept while your account is open. Job records, payments, photos, and dispute outcomes are kept after a job for as long as tax and payment rules require, and so that a later dispute or chargeback can be answered. When you close your account MowMatch removes your name and contact details from anything it does not have to keep.
6. Your choices
- Turn push notifications off in your device settings at any time. Money and safety messages then arrive by email or text instead.
- Change your name, phone, email, and address from your profile.
- Ask for a copy of the data MowMatch holds about you.
- Ask for your account to be closed and your data deleted, subject to the records MowMatch must keep.
Make any request on the help page. A person answers within five business days.
7. How it is protected
Connections are encrypted. Passwords are hashed. Card numbers never touch MowMatch. Access to the database is limited to the people who run MowMatch, and every admin action on a job is logged.
8. Age
You must be 18 or older to hold an account. MowMatch does not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe it has, ask on the help page and it will be removed.
9. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the version date at the top changes. If a change affects what is collected or who sees it, you are told in the app before it takes effect.
